Emily Griswold
RYT200
Emily grew up in Stockbridge and first fell in love with yoga, at the tender age of 20, in her first class at Washtenaw Community College. She has been developing and deepening her practice over the years and continues to explore new ways of bringing yoga to underserved populations. With a 200 hour teaching certificate from Kripalu School of Yoga and Ayurveda, and two trauma informed yoga teacher trainings (Prison Yoga Project and UpRising Yoga), Emily is focusing her energy on serving marginalized communities across the state. When she isn’t on the mat Emily manages the Chelsea Farmers Market, teaches a gardening and mindfulness program at the Jackson County Youth Center, is growing a non-profit to bring mindfulness and yoga to men and women incarcerated and continues to learn from her two gorgeous daughters. She is excited to be serving the greater community, in collaboration with Breathe Yoga, in this powerful and critical way!
