Lauren Caddell

RYT 200

Lauren found yoga in 2016 as a way to connect to her body. She was drawn to the challenge of the poses and how the practice was inviting her to become curious about what it means to embody. What Lauren found to be most challenging when she first started yoga re: prioritizing the breath and embodying where she felt her mind and body were any given day are now pillars of her practice that keeps her coming back to the mat. She completed her 200 Hour teacher training at Citizen Yoga in Royal Oak in mid-2020 and has been teaching for 3 years within studios, community centers, and at universities.

Lauren teaches alignment-based yoga where the foundation of her classes are teaching the pose to fit the student vs the student trying to fit the pose. You can expect Lauren's classes to center the breath with a compassionate invitation to move from a place of embodiment. She loves to use props as a way to generate a deeper connection to the poses while always reminding students of the autonomy they have in their body to do what's best for them.
